If the batteries are being charged via solar power, limited sunlight (e.g., less than 2–4 hours/day or 2–3 days of full cloud cover) may lead to battery discharge—this is normal and not a defect. To recharge, use a 12V trickle charger and reinstall the batteries in the battery box
